Get energized by the bottom-up innovation that abounds in the East Village. This one-hour walking tour features historic, planned, and exemplary energy generation and bio-design sites. We’ll visit 10 resilient solar, microgrid, green infrastructure locations and share some of Sandy’s impacts on the ‘Garden District’. Our walk leads to the LUNGS Harvest Arts Fest opening party at La Plaza Cultural (Ave C and East 9th Street).

This free event features Wendy Brawer of Green Map, Paul Garrin of Beyond the Grid, Bill DiPaola of MORUS/Time’s Up, Marga Snyder of La Plaza Cultural and more.

Meet us at the Museum of Reclaimed Urban Space, 155 Ave C. Come a bit early so you can test the energy bicycle and enjoy the exhibits before this easy walk starts at promptly at 5:30pm. Join us, rain or shine. More info here.
