Fire Jumping Spring Festival

10th Annual Chaharshanbe Sori (AKA the Persian/Zoroastrian fire-jumping holiday)
Tuesday, March 19, 2019, 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM
Firemen’s Memorial Garden
358 E 8th St, New York City

Jumping over fire is a symbolic gesture to start the Persian New Year and has been done since the early Zoroastrian era in 1700 BCE. We will have music (by the Rude Mechanical Orchestra!), dancing and snacks. Wear your best fire proof pants.

*We make all efforts to keep event safe, but we need your help. Parents are responsible for their kids’ safety; please keep an eye on your children!
